Melanie Wood, DVM
Dr. Wood is an Anderson native. She graduated in 1995 from Anderson High School and 1999 from Miami University with a BA in Zoology. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM in 2004.
She practiced at an emergency facility for 6 years as well as a part time veterinarian at various clinics around the area while raising her toddlers. It has been her dream to open her own clinic for the last 5 years and she's excited that it is finally becoming a reality.She looks forward to
establishing lasting relationships with clients and their animal
She and her husband Jonathan have 3 adorable little girls and an amazing dog, Copper, that happily take up all of their spare time outside of work. She also just recently welcomed a baby boy to their growing family. On the occasion when needed she enjoys rescuing local wildlife and providing whatever kind of care she can to help get them be released back into their own environment. She is frequently active in helping to place stray or unwanted animals in forever homes.
Maggie Young-Lipshutz, DVM
Dr. Young grew up in Cincinnati and attended McNicholas High School. She went to Miami University for her undergraduate degree and The Ohio State University for Veterinary School. She has experience working in an emergency facility and also general practice. Prior to joining Main Street Animal Hospital, she worked for Ethicon Endo Surgery doing research. Dr. Young lives in Anderson with her Husband and toddler son. She is also the fur mom to two crazy golden retrievers and two lovable cats. She is excited to join the team at Main Street Animal Hospital and meet the many wonderful clients and patients.
Hillary Hillard - Practice Manager/Clinic Technician
Hillary is a registered veterinary technician who graduated from The University of Cincinnati in 2013. She has two wonderful little boys that take up all her spare time. Growing up in 4H jump started her passion for animals. She couldn't imagine doing anything else with her life and loves exploring all the avenues of veterinary medicine. Previously she worked at another clinic for 4 years, where she met Dr. Wood and is excited to be able to work for her. Hillary has a passion for helping those in need and making sure they get the best care possible. As the clinic grows, she is excited to be a part of this experience.
Marsha is a proud resident of Amelia being here for over 30 years. She has a passion for animals that is evident with her history of taking in stray animals over the years. Marsha and her husband have 4 adult children, 2 granddaughters and a very recent grandson. She also has several "fur"ever friends! She is so excited to be working with such a compassionate team at Main Street Animal Hospital.
Kirstin is a resident of Batavia. She has a two and four year old daughter who take up most of her time. Kirstin and her kids love taking care of their service dog Ellie and their cat Lyra. Finding her passion for helping animals, she has recently decided to go back to school to pursue veterinary medicine. She enjoys working with her coworkers, clients and their pets.
Cathryn is a registered veterinary technician who graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. She has lived in Cincinnati with her husband for 8 years. Cathryn has a daughter and son, two dogs and a cat. Cathryn looks forward to meeting your pets when they come in for their appointments!
Alesha McMillion- Vet Assistant
Alesha is our newest team member! We are excited to have her in the MSAH family. She lives with her husband in Amelia and they have 3 cats. She has always had a passion for animals and is very excited and eager to learn more everyday!
