When you are looking for a veterinary care clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service. We at Main Street Animal Hospital in Amelia OH have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to bring you the best possible healthcare for your pet. We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient. Call (513) 843-7542 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.
Twice a year, you should take your pet in for a check-up. This will include a full physical exam, and may also include bloodwork, stool or urine checks. Dr. Melanie Wood will check the health of your pet from head to tail in a fear free environment for your pet. What do we mean by fear free? There will not be any aggressive restraint or holding. If your pet is anxious and fearful we will use chemical sedation or anti-anxiety meds to be given before or during the appointment to help relax them. We do not want any animal to fear coming to the vet and we believe in the "less is more" method of managing animals. We encourage "Happy Visits" which are occasions where a fearful pet can come in to visit us just to get a treat or pet from us, or just to hang out and see us so not every visit to the vet includes a poke or a prod. These visits don't have to be long just pop in and say hi! Your pets health and emotional well being while visiting us is a top priority.
Finally please bring in any medical history you have of your pet when you come to our vet clinic. It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral shifts. If you have something like this, share it with our team. If not, let us know everything that you think will be important. Dr. Wood can still work with whatever information you have.
We look forward to meeting you and your furry family member!
