Melanie Wood, DVM

Dr. Wood is an Anderson native. She graduated in 1995 from Anderson High School and 1999 from Miami University with a BA in Zoology. She attended Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she earned her DVM in 2004.

She practiced at an emergency facility for 6 years as well as a part-time veterinarian at various clinics around the area while raising her toddlers. It has been her dream to open her own clinic for the last 5 years and she’s excited that it is finally becoming a reality. She looks forward to establishing lasting relationships with clients and their animal
family members.

She and her husband Jonathan have 3 adorable little girls and a son! They also have two dogs, Copper, and Dolly. On the occasion when needed she enjoys rescuing local wildlife and providing whatever kind of care she can to help get them be released back into their own environment. She is frequently active in helping to place stray or unwanted animals in forever homes.

Hillary Hillard – Practice Manager/Clinic Technician

Hillary is a registered veterinary technician who graduated from The University of Cincinnati in 2013. She has two wonderful little boys that take up all her spare time. Growing up in 4H jump-started her passion for animals. She couldn’t imagine doing anything else with her life and loves exploring all the avenues of veterinary medicine. Previously she worked at another clinic for 4 years, where she met Dr. Wood and is excited to be able to work for her. Hillary has a passion for helping those in need and making sure they get the best care possible. As the clinic grows, she is excited to be a part of this experience.

Kirstin Whitcomb- Vet Assistant

Kirstin is a resident of Amelia. She has a three and five-year-old daughter who take up most of her time. Kirstin and her kids love taking care of their service dog Ellie and their cat Lyra. Finding her passion for helping animals, she is currently going back to school to further her education. She enjoys working with her coworkers, clients, and their pets.

Cathryn Gretler- Clinic Technician

Cathryn is a registered veterinary technician who graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2013. She has lived in Cincinnati with her husband for 8 years. Cathryn has a daughter and son, two dogs and a cat. Cathryn looks forward to meeting your pets when they come in for their appointments!

Elyse Geiger

Elyse resides on a farm in Bethel with her husband and daughter. There, they are raising 5 cats, a quarter horse, and 5 goats. Elyse has a huge soft spot in her heart for animals. She looks forward to helping you get the best care for your fur baby when you call to schedule your next appointment at Main Street Animal Hospital.

Mandi Fontaine

Mandi graduated in 2018 from Live Oaks Campus where she was in the animal science program and she received many certifications. Mandi’s love of animals comes from her days on her family farm right here in Amelia. In her free time she loves going on hikes with her dog Aries. Mandi is very excited to meet and help out all of your animals!
