K-Laser Class IV therapeutic lasers deliver specific red and near-infrared wavelengths of laser light to induce a photochemical reaction and therapeutic effect. Physiological effects include increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction and enhanced tissue healing. Laser therapy has been used in Europe since the 1970s and was cleared by the US FDA in 2005.

Laser Therapeutic Effects

During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

Cellular Effects

During K-Laser Therapy, infrared laser light interacts with tissues at the cellular level increasing metabolic activity within the cell. By improving the transport of nutrients across the cell membrane, the increased production of cellular energy (ATP) is stimulated. The cascade of beneficial effects that follows includes increased cellular function and tissue repair.

“It was recommended to us by Dr. Wood and her staff to use the laser to treat an anal gland abscess our little girl had. We are so glad that we chose to follow through! There was a huge improvement after just two treatments! The laser was something that we didn’t know anything about but are excited that we gave it a try and are extremely impressed with the results!” – The Wiesenhahns

“We wanted to try out the laser with Dixie to see if it would help her get around better. Being a Dachsund with crooked front legs, she had a hard time getting up and down the stairs and you can tell she really wasn’t as active as she would like to be. We did 6 sessions with the laser and now she is going up and down the stairs a lot more than before and overall seems to be getting around better. We are pleased with the results, especially without having to introduce pain medication into the mix.” – Anonymous

” We currently don’t have Ruger on any pain medications at this time but his hips and shoulders bother him a lot when he is getting up and down. We have just completed 6 sessions and his good days are great and his bad days are better. He is a lot more comfortable now!” – The Brownings
